Student Release Procedure

Jeffrey Trail students are released from school at the dismissal times of 2:59 p.m. on regular days, and 12:25 p.m. on our minimum days. Please see our parking procedures for pick up.

Early Pick Up:

If you need to pick up your student early, please come to the front office with a valid ID to sign your student out. All students leaving campus must be signed out by a member on their contact screen on Parent Portal. There are certain times of the day where it may be difficult to locate your student immediately, such as lunch or advantage. Please plan around these times to pick up your student.

Parent/Student Reunification Protocol in case of Emergency:

In the event of an emergency, in which parents would need to reunite with their student on Jeffrey Trail's campus, please proceed to the Reunification station located on our basketball courts. Students will only be released to adults on the Emergency Contacts page and a valid government-issued identification (driver's license or passport) will be required to sign out a student.

This responsibility remains, even when disaster strikes and circumstances require, schools to keep students beyond the normal school day.  The Student Release Team is responsible for releasing students to their parents/guardians. The Student Supervision Team is responsible for supervising students in the assembly area and releasing students to the Pick-Up/Release area for reunification with parents.

  1. The first area “the holding area” is the Student Supervision assembly area where all students remain while being supervised by the Student Supervision Team.
  2. The second area is the parent Check-In on the basketball courts, where parents assemble to request release of their student and provide identification to Student Release Team staff.
  3. After checking in, a Student Supervisor will locate the student and bring him or her to the parent or emergency contact person on the basketball court.

REUNIFICATION PROCEDURES

Please have your photo ID ready!

All adults must assemble at the Check-In to pick up students.

Show your photo ID at the Student Release table and identify which student(s) you are picking up.

Student Release team will verify that you are on the student’s Emergency Contact List as someone who is authorized to pick them up from school.

Please be patient while you wait for your student(s) to be brought to you.

We appreciate your patience and flexibility as we try to ensure the safety of all of our students.
